Amir Shaklan embodies the many qualities sought after in a breeding stallion. Starting with his solid pedigree, it is evident he was bred to breed on. Amir Shaklan is the culmination of the world's most successful bloodlines - a pedigree built of National, International and World Champions . . . but his impeccable pedigree is only the foundation for what lies ahead for this very exciting young stallion . . .
Amir Shaklan is outstanding as an individual. He has extravagant type and charismatic charm; a balanced, smooth body and clean straight legs. His movement is powerful yet graceful, and he is adored for his kind, gentle disposition. His face is deeply chisled, and will only continue to become more defined and beautiful as he matures. His shoulder is deep and well-laid back, his neck high-set and arched. He is tight-coupled with a strong hindquarter.
Amir Shaklan . . . a stallion with international appeal, a pedigree of kings . . . .
Great things are to come for this young stallion, and as a sire it is anticipated that he will pass on his immense beauty and type, solid structure, and his kind, endearing disposition. We invite you to consider Amir Shaklan for your best mares, and expect that the resulting foals will exceed your expectations. Thank you for your interest in Amir Shaklan!

AMIR SHAKLAN, a prince of royal heritage. We are honored and humbled to share our lives with an individual who encompasses the life-long breeding goals of some of the world's most accomplished and respected breeders.
Amir Shaklan, born of greatness . . . the son of National Champion Stallion OM EL SHAHMAAN, himself a son of the world's most influential sire of National, International and World Champions - *SANADIK EL SHAKLAN. *Sanadik El Shaklan was the headliner for his breeder Om El Arab International after the sale of his sire, the legendary *EL SHAKLAN (National Junior Champion Stallion of Germany, National Reserve Champion Stallion of Germany, Supreme Show Champion - International Show in Belgium). Om El Shahmaan's dam OM EL SHAINA was the result of crossing World Champion Stallion *CARMARGUE with the leading lady and foundation mare for Om El Arab, *ESTOPA (European Champion Mare, National Champion Mare of Germany, producer of National and World Champions).
Amir Shaklan's dam, ASDIQA BADEIA, also boasts an international pedigree filled with Champions. Her sire is the illustrious *SANADIK EL SHAKLAN, one of the most successful sires of National, International, and World Champions (see above). Her dam, MORSADA, is a straight Egyptian, Dahmah Shahwaniya mare. Bred by Mr. James Kline, Morsada is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of his internationally respected straight Egyptian program. She is a daughter of *ASADD+++ (National Champion Stallion, National Champion English Pleasure) out of the mare MORGANA. Morgana is a daughter of the Arabian legend *MORAFIC (Park and Halter Champion, sire of National Champions), known for his exotic type. Morgana's dam is a daughter of the mare *BINT MAISA EL SAGHIRA (National Top Ten Park & Halter). Several of Morsada's get have been exported, it is with great honor that we will be carrying on her line here in the United States with her grandson AMIR SHAKLAN.

Breeding season is on the horizon!
December 2009:
Dear friends,
It seems so hard to believe that yet another year has passed. 2009 has been a year of incredible joy for Dahabi Arabians, both because of our horse loves and also our treasured friends.
With the acquisition of our stallion Amir Shaklan in late 2008, we look back over the last 12 months and can't help but smile as we reminisce of memories we have been so fortunate to create with our special boy in our first year together. Aside from sharing countless tender moments and building an ever-intensifying bond with him, Amir Shaklan is now a Breeders Sweepstakes Nominated Sire, his first foals will be arriving in the spring, and he is now started under saddle. We look forward to all that 2010 and beyond will bring!
We were also blessed with the addition of two spectacular mares - Macarena Brahima and PF Beauty Queen. Our two Los Acres' beauties will be the foundation of our program. Crossed with Amir Shaklan, we anticipate stunning results. It is with great anticipation that we await the birth of our first Amir Shaklan/Macarena Brahima foal - due May 2010.
I am so thankful for the incredible love and joy that these horses bring to my life each and every day. Because of the horses I have been blessed to have formed some wonderful friendships with so many special people - and I want to thank each of you for your friendship as it is held dear.
Wishing you and your family a joyous and blessed holiday season, and a warm and prosperous 2010!
Warmly,
Shannon and family, and the horses of Dahabi Arabians
September 2009:
9/25: Amir passed his first REAL test last night - just minutes after I mounted for ride #8 the neighbors son and his friend decided they would have 4-wheeler races! Amir stopped and looked - very alert - but he never tensed up and went right back to work when I asked him to. He did stop a few more times to see what they were doing, but it was more of a looky-loo interest, he never let what they were doing get to him. Such a good boy!!! This was a testament to his easy-going disposition as well as to his trust in me. I am so pleased to say that Amir passed the test with flying colors!
9/15: Tonight Amir had his 2nd ride. The other evening when he had his 1st ride my trainer was holding the lead most of the time - but tonight I truly RODE him - BY MYSELF - no one leading him! He was PHENOMENAL! We walked, halted, turned, and backed. I am beaming with pride for my special boy! I can hardly wait for our next ride!!
9/14: BIG NEWS!!! Yesterday (9/13/09) I sat on Amir Shaklan for the first time and we had our FIRST RIDE! All we did was walk, but he just went along so relaxed and wonderfully well!!! I am so extremely proud of him and am SOOOOO excited for all that the future holds! Will try to get some pictures soon. He is officially UNDER SADDLE! Now the real fun begins!! <BIG SMILE!>
July 2009:
7/11 - Amir Shaklan is now home! What a joy it is to have my sweet boy home where I can love on him anytime I wish!
7/2 - Looking forward to bringing our boy home from the stallion station later this month - am getting very excited to have him back home where I can see him all the time!
June 2009:
6/30 - Amir Shaklan is still residing at the stallion station, fullfilling his breeding obligations.
May 2009:
5/4 - Bride-to-be MACARENA BRAHIMA (*Sidi-Brahim x MA Halima Rouge by El Majiid) - purchased by Dahabi Arabians specifically for Amir Shaklan - has arrived!!! This incredible mare is everything and MORE that we had anticipated she would be!! She will be bred to Amir Shaklan for a 2010 foal - this foal will be available for purchase, inquiries invited.
April 2009:
4/27 - Amir Shaklan is now at the stallion station. He proudly announced his arrival to all the horses there!
4/6 - Amir Shaklan celebrates his fourth birthday! He had a wonderful day, enjoyed being surrounded by his mares and was fed lots of carrots.
March 2009:
3/31 - Amir Shaklan now has his own page on Facebook! Please become a fan by visiting his page "Arabian Stallion AMIR SHAKLAN" or by clicking [HERE].
October 2008:
10/30 - Amir Shaklan is adjusting to his new home and family here in Montana. He is just as kind, willing, and wonderful to work with as we had anticipated.
10/18 - Amir Shaklan arrived at Dahabi Arabians on the evening of October 18, 2008. His arrival is one of the most memorable events in my life! He is a treasured member of our family and I look forward to sharing many, many years with him.
